School is starting...
School is starting again... the Winter holiday is over :( It'll take a while for me to get back to "school mode", so I hope I don't "slip" on any assignments/assessments that I have in the near future. I had tons of fun over the holidays (went snowboarding, had lots of dinners & parties, etc.) And I'm already looking forward to my March Break !! :P

On Holiday Break~
Currently in the library typing this blog entry, lol. Decided to go to the library during the Christmas holidays instead of staying home (both my dad and I wanted to get out of the house :P)
I just recieved my report card yesterday, before I went snowboarding with some of my church friends. My average was 91.1 -- the highest I've ever gotten on a report card! =D I was extremely happy with my grades. Hope to continue to keep my marks like this.

Halburton Forest
Had been back for a long time, didn't remember to update my post :P
I had tons of fun, and of course, I hiked around Haliburton (a lot).
Day 1:
The first day was actually the most relaxing, as we only stayed at Base Camp (didn't actually start hiking yet).
Day 2:
The 2nd day was the toughest, hiking ~16 km to our next camping destination.
After arriving at 1st Camp, we sat round for a while, since we arrived at around 2:20 p.m. After regaining most of our energy, we set our tents, gathered wood, and cooked dinner :D
Day 3:
Hiking to Wolf Lake, another ~10-15 km from 1st Camp. At 2nd Camp, my body had already adapted to the amount of workload, and did not need to rest as long as I did during Day 2. As usual, wood was gathered to cook dinner, and between the gathering of wood, making the fire, and cooking dinner, we had some time to play some cards with my tripmates.
Day 4:
The easiest part of our entire trip. We were only ~5 km from Base Camp, so I had an "easy ending" to my trip. I think I would rather take on the most difficult parts at the beginning than at the end (since the 3 days of hiking would tire out my body already).
This trip was surprisingly fun, now that I look back and reflect upon it. I might do it again, but I would definitely dogsled again (Gr 10 trip)

Haliburton Forest, Here I Come!
Going to Haliburton Forest tomorrow, a Gr 11 school trip. The reason for going on this trip is to get the leadership "credit", or something that demonstrates leadership. In order to graduate from my school, I have to have at least 3 of these leadership credits, and my school provides all 3 opportunities :D
For example, in Gr 9 - canoe trip. Gr 10 - dog sledding trip (totally amazing & unforgettable. Would really like to do it again), and Gr 11 is a hiking trip in Haliburton Forest.
It's going to be a high of 8 degrees and low of -2 degrees Celsius... gotta bring a little more clothing, but I only have one bag to fit everything into, including my sleeping bag!
In any case, I've already "trial-packed" my bag, so now I know that everything can fit inside that teenie weenie bag :P
After returning from trip, will definitely write about it, so I don't forget what happened either :P

Got my Accounting Test
Just received my accounting test on Unit 1 today, got 98% :D
It was much higher than I expected, and I'm very content with this mark. Hopefully I'll continue to do just as well in other subjects :P

Too Busy
Hadn't been able to post due to extreme business. There are 2 tests tomorrow, 1 formative assessment due also tomorrow, and an extremely big English assignment due this Friday. I had to write about Jazz in editorial style for the assignment, and I found it really difficult because I had been writing essays (non-opinionated) all my life D:
But fortunately, I had help from several friends, and big help from one of them who majored in english :D
Anyhow, have to get back to economics homework and study for accounting & econ test tomorrow.

Economics Test results
I had an economics test on Monday, and it was 12 full pages of fun :)
First half of the test were multiple choice questions (some of them included analyzing graphs in order to answer the question), and the other half were short answer questions. Originally, and test was out of 50, but then it was changed to be out of 53 - more marks, making mistakes worth less (in my opinion) :)
So today I received my quiz, and was very shocked :O (oh no!) it was 51... Percent? No.
It was 51... out of 53! :D
Very happy and very proud of it, I got a -stunning- 96% =D YAY
The two marks that were taken off were actually from the multiple choice questions, and both of them tricked my mind D:
But even though, I was very content with my mark, and will try to get a higher one when the next test comes around!

Lots of School Work!
Had been an eXtreme busy week... Even only today, I had to do these:
- Physics homework
- Accounting homework
- Economics homework
- English homework
- Study for English Quiz tomorrow
- Study for Chemistry test tomorrow
Man... so much stuff to do. Although I've finished all the homework part, the studying half is the more difficult part.. Let's hope I can do well tomorrow on the test and quiz!

Lost my Economics Textbook!
As I was getting ready to go home from school, standing in front of my locker, I suddenly realize that my economics textbook was not in my stack of books.

I searched my bag, cleaned out my entire locker, went to the classroom & tried to look for it, and even asked my teacher if they had seen it. But it was nowhere to be found.
After that, I went to take piano lesson (it was fun, made me forget about that I lost my textbook). Soon after, I returned home. Upon coming home, I thought it would be a good idea to ask my friends & classmates to see if they had seen my missing textbook.
When I talked to one of them, he (my friend) said he had two in his locker (he goes to the same economics class as I do), and is pretty sure that one of them is mine. When I heard this, a wave of relief washed over me. I must've told him to hold the textbook for me while I went to washroom, then he forgot that it was mine and just stuffed it in his locker.
Thank the Lord that I can get my textbook back instead of having to buy another one!

Grade 11!!
Haven't posted in my blog for almost 3 months =S
Been prepaing for Grad 11 over the summer, was also helping out at Summer Day Camp.
The first few days of grade 11... I slacked off ._. I didn't take much notes, or didn't put as much effort as I would've liked to. So after the weekend, I will try my hardest in this school year (that includes: way less games, and more studying. Most importantly, keep having a close relationship with God).
And to all my Grade 11 friends, good luck! Hope you all do as well as you'd liked!

High on Air?
So today, I went home and, as usual, started to see if there's any homework I didn't do. I couldn't think of any so I started chatting with my friends through MSN (Kristie, Iggy, Phil)
So then suddenly, a classmate in my History class (Matt N.) asks "Yo, do you know what do for the history project dur this thursday?"
And I was saying, "There's a project? Due THURSDAY?!"
"Yea man."
"When did he tell us?"
"He was snake and emailed it, like how he emailed the questions on the test to us last time, when no one checked their email."
"Oh, that *BEEP* *BEEP*. Imma start."
"Kk, cya later"
After this, I started telling my other history classmates about the project (whom had no idea about it, just like me >=D). Then we started working on it together, talking about the analyization and all the stuff I gotta do.
But then, maybe due to too much adrenaline rush, I started getting hyper and a little bit out of hand. So then my friend who worked with me suggested, "Are you alright? You seem.. different."
And I replied with: "I'm high. On air. I need more sugarr."
But then he acted as if he ignored be and continued to drone on about the project.
So I was talking to Kristie for a while, and I told her how I think im high on air.. and she replied "Just like my bestfriend =D"
And I thought to myself, "Cool. I'm not the only who can go high on oxygen >=D"
Goodtimes goodtimes

Career Studies
Right now, I am in Careers class, taking the "Interest Sorter."
There are 3 types of Categories: Hands-On, People, and Information
These are the # of each category I got:
Hands-On: 5
People: 5
Information: 6
Now I have to think of 3 jobs for the category with the highest number (Information).
Informational is the type that types a lot, expresses themselves with music and art, and studies.
Some jobs that these type of people would apply for is:
- Musician
- Programmer
- Artist
- Secretary
Time to pay attention in class, more to come

Chinese School - The Chinese Zodiac
In chinese school today, we watched a movie that talks about the chinese zodiac.
The Zodiac was formed when the Jade Emperor (Chinese version of God) found out that the people on the earth has no method of keeping track of time. To solve this, the Jade Emperor decided to have a registration for the Zodiac, but only 12 animals are eligible to sign up. Also, babies that are born during the year of the animal shall obtain the animal's qualities. The animals had to be of good use to people in order to be qualified for registration.
This question might arouse in your mind: Then how did the Rat get in?
Well, after an animal was qualified, they place their foot/paw/claw into the Zodiac Book as a signature. When the Owl was just about to place his claw onto the page, the rat fell from the sky and landed on the book. In the end, the Rat took Owl's spot.
This is how the order came to place: After the 12 animals were registered, they raced to the Celestial Palace for their order.
Finishing Order:
1st Place - Rat
2nd Place - Ox
3rd Place - Tiger
4th Place - Rabbit
5th Place - Dragon
6th Place - Snake
7th Place - Horse
8th Place - Goat
9th Place - Monkey
10th Place - Rooster
11th Place - Dog
12th Place - Pig
Descriptions, qualities and personalities of each animal will be posted according to their order, beginning from the last to the first.
Swim Meet @ St. Andrews College
Just came back from the swim meet at SAC, so tired out by it. Now I have Chinese School. How fun is that?
At SAC, I got 2nd place for 50M Breast and 50M Freestyle, and 1st place for medley Relay (I swam butterfly =D).
Every time I got in front of the diving block, my heart would beat faster and faster. I counted 4-5 beats per second, and calculated to 240-300 beats per minute. I thought that was humanly impossible..?
Anyhow, off to chinese school now. More to come.
